WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY BRIDAL PREVIEW?

I personally like to book previews 3-4 months prior to the big day. So that it's not too close the wedding date, that it could feel last minute, and not too far before the wedding as hair of skin conditions could change during that time. Bridal previews are only booked Mondays - Thursdays. Fridays - Sundays are reserved for weddings.

Do I need a bridal trial? And how
shouldI best prepare for it?

  • I would always recommend a bridal trial. Ideally, you don’t wanna try anything new the day of. Trials are a good opportunity to wear and test the products that seem more suitable for you and perfect your final look beforehand. Also it not only allows you to preview what you are envisioning for your bridal look, but also allows you to meet and connect with your artist.
  • I take notes and photos right after the trial to be able to re-create the same look on the day of your event.
  • Please allow 1-2 hrs for your makeup or hair trial, and 2-3 hours for both makeup and hair.
  • I recommend having inspiration photos of the makeup and hair looks you love. Be sure the model’s hair color and skin tone are similar to your own. Have photos of your dress, makeup and hair inspiration and wedding mood board so we may discuss the overall aesthetic of what you are trying to achieve. Veil, headpiece or hair jewelry (if you have any). Clip in hair extensions if you plan to use it on the day or just want to experiment. If you have a favorite makeup product (lipstick, blush, eyeshadow, etc) so I can get an idea of the colors you feel confident in. Come with clean, dry hair. Typically, hair texture is better with a day old hair, hair styles won’t hold as well when the hair is freshly washed because it has to much movement. Shampoo your scalp and condition only the ends the day before, if you have oily scalp, shampoo twice. Try to use a light weight conditioner unless you are going for a sleek flat iron look.

How long will my makeup and hair last?

Your makeup and hair should last all day, but please keep in mind that slight touch ups may be needed throughout your event, specially for outdoor and beach weddings in the summer and for runny, windy and humid days. Let me know if you will need touch ups throughout the event.

Can I schedule my trial on the day of my engagement photos?

Yes, it is a good idea to test your makeup and hair out. This will give you the chance to wear your makeup and hair long enough to then decide if you would like to make any changes.
